2 PEICES OF NEWS TODAY!!! ONE GOOD…ONE BAD!!!

LET ME START OFF WITH MY 1ST PEICE OF NEWS TODAY!!! THE GOOD…MATT HAS NOW ADDED RSS FEED TO THE FOOTER OF THE NEW WEB SITE! WWW.47PARKAVENUE.CO.UK AND - NOW FOR THE BAD... They tell you in AA that part of your healing process is admitting that you have a problem! AND – by admitting, and then accepting you have a problem! You are able to face it straight on! SO – after admitting and accepting my problem! ( see link www.47parkavenue.co.uk/beyond-gutted/ ) I’ve decided to face it straight on! “HELLO – MY NAME IS MICHAEL, AND I HAVE PROBLEM…I’M BEYOND GUTTED!” SO – 8 long weeks after my damaged delivery arrived at the house, and for the 8 long weeks its been sitting within my living room all wrapped up in the boxes it came in…I’m now admitting/accepting my problem and I’m going to face it straight on!!! I’M GOING TO GET MY ROOM BACK! AND – START LIVING! I’ve now been awaiting instruction from the store manger for 4 weeks now since his last communication…with no update! SO – Jonathan telephoned the store yesterday, only to be informed by the store manager that the missing peices from the lamp base is down to that fact it’s handmade!?!!? 2 new shades are coming straight from the supplier to the house! NEWS to us…and the words “quality control” come to mind!!???!! Anyway – because of our update from the store…AND – the fact I’m dealing with this straight on! I open up the box with the white lamp base, I take it out and carry it into reception1, I place it on the stainless steel hospital trolly…which is where I planned for it to go. I also take out of the box one of the damage shades…I’m guessing that the store or the supplier doesn’t want it back?!!!?! SO – I’ll use until my replacement gets here, when ever that maybe? Thats 2 boxes open, AND – out of my sitting room! I also take out of its box the large blue floor cushion, which looks 10 shades darker than I thought it was going to be…BUT – its FABULOUS! 3 boxes down AND – out!

The lamp does look good! BUT – looking at makes me feel sick to the stomach, angry and upset about what I’ve had to deal with. Then I realise…the base is the wrong FUCKING shape! I been sent a square shaped based! The store doesn’t even sell this shape on its web site! SO – how the FUCK do I have it? Its not what I wanted or ordered. This is the lamp I ordered!…

I could have picked up on this problem sooner…if I’d have known that the store/supplier didn’t want the full shade and base back 8 weeks after I sent my 1st email to the store informing them of the damage. Just like anybody going though AA, 3 steps forward and 5 back! I guess you can say that I’ve fallen off the wagon with one!!!
