Stepping back

Some of you might have noticed that the blog looks so much different now. Nope. Not a glitch, baby. All the changes 'round here are totally intentional. Not as fancy, I know, but I think this simplicity suits me best. This design makes me feel a lot more comfortable for sure in more ways than one.

Let's just say I have had to step back and take an honest look at the current state of this space and where I truly want to lead it from today onwards. After some quiet thinking, I decided to tone everything down, get rid of the clutter, and just stick with the basics. It was not an easy decision to make since the previous design was just too awesome to part with.

But I guess Jenna Rink from the movie 13 Going On 30 said it best: "I think all of us want to feel something that we've forgotten or turned our backs on because maybe we didn't realize how much we were leaving behind. We need to remember what used to be good. If we don't, we won't recognize it even if it hits us between the eyes."

All I know is I'm just really glad that it's finally back to how I've originally envisioned it to be when I started blogging. I wanted this space to be a place where I can just be myself — sharing my adventures, dreams, and all the things that inspire me.

So I did the switch and it feels amazingly good to be back. :)
