Hi everyone! So this is the continuation of my 2013 faves. I really can’t combine it in one post otherwise we’ll both be bored, and it’ll be really long. First off, I really do apologize for prolonging the other halves of my 2013 Faves. I promise I’ll definitely TRY to complete it within this week. Anyway, without further ado, let’s get started with my blush favorites for the year 2013.

PEACH/CORAL BLUSHES

The Balm Hot Mama Shadow/Blush &
Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in ‘Peach’

The Balm Hot Mama Shadow/Blush – Uhm.. I don’t think I have mentioned this in a Favorites post for the year 2013. I didn’t even mention this in my 2012 Hit list. ‘Seriously Yette, WTH is wrong with you!’. Anyway, this has been my goto blush EVERY TIME I don’t know what to wear, or aside from my current favorite that month. It’s definitely a blush that goes with every eye look I wear, every lip color. It’s very versatile. I don’t even need a highlighter anymore due to it’s gold specs. It’s known to be a dupe of both Benefit Coralista & NARS Orgasm, but I wouldn’t know since I don’t have both and honestly I don’t plan on purchasing either since I have enough coral/peach blushes to last me for quite a while. All in all, this blush is a keeper and definitely worth the moolah.
PROS: Highly pigmented; Can go without a highlighter; Very versatile; Slim packaging; Affordable; Available locally;
CONS: Can’t think of any

Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in ‘Peach’ – I really like this blush because it’s nicely pigmented and can also give me that radiant glow as well. It can give you that highlighted effect without using a highlighter. I also like the packaging despite it’s bulkiness. It’s dual purpose because the mirror is big enough for touch-ups. Oh and the shade is lovely, as I’ve said a million times, prolly. It’s affordable too!
PROS: Gives you a healthy glow; Acts as a higlighter; Big enough mirror for touch-ups; Affordable; Available locally;
CONS: Bulky; Not widely accessible; Might not be suitable for people with oily skin;

PINK BLUSHES

Sleek Aqua Collection Limited Edition Blush in ‘Mirrored Pink’ &
E.L.F. Studio Blush in ‘Tickled Pink’

Sleek Aqua Collection Limited Edition Blush in ‘Mirrored Pink’ – I know I never mentioned this in a monthly favorites before, but this is really a keeper. If you read my review about this blush (link below), you’ll know that this blush gives you a beautiful pearlescent glow. It gives that perfect flush of pink with a hint of shimmer. I love it! It’s really pigmented & it’s has a rich color payoff.
PROS: Gives a beautiful pearlescent glow; Really pigmented & rich color payoff; Lasts for more than 6 hours; Easy to blend & very buildable; Sleek & handy;
CONS: Limited edition; Only available online & selected Crossings Dept stores;

E.L.F. Studio Blush in ‘Tickled Pink’ – This is a beautiful mute pink blush that has some fine silver specs on it but it doesn’t really translate that much onto your face. I really like it for times when I just want a subtle color onto my cheeks or if I already have too much going on my eyes or lips. It’s perfect & it’s affordable.
PROS: Pigmented; Gives a subtle pinkish glow; Buildable; Affordable; Available everywhere
CONS: Can’t really say anything wrong about them;

ORANGE BLUSH

Sleek Blush By 3 in Lace

Sleek Blush by 3 in ‘Lace’ – This was my blush when I was in my ‘orange/coral’ phase. This blush is extremely pigmented like most Sleek blushes and has a rich color payoff. It also contains three blushes in one compact. In short, I really love this blush and will continue to use it this 2014.
PROS: Extremely pigmented; Rich color payoff; Contains three blushes in one compact; Nice mirror for touchups;
CONS: May be a bit tricky/hard to apply especially when you’re in a hurry or if you’re a beginner since it’s really pigmented; Not available locally; Only available at the internet & selected Crossings Dept Stores

LIQUID/CREAM BLUSH

E.L.F. HD Blushes in ‘Encore’, ‘Headliner’, ‘Superstar’ & ‘Diva’

E.L.F. HD Blushes in ‘Encore’, ‘Headliner’, ‘Superstar’ & ‘Diva’ – I really like these HD blushes and if you ask me to pick one I’m going to say Headliner just because it’s the one that I often use, but in terms of quality, pigmentation and color payoff, then I’m just plan speechless. These HD blushes are affordable yet they contain a lot of product. Again, this product is so worth and they’re definitely a keeper.
PROS: Convenient, comes with a pump; Very pigmented; A little goes a long way; Very affordable;
CONS: Container dispenses way too much product sometimes; Sometimes can be a bit messy; Can be a bit tricky to use especially for beginners;

CONTOUR & HIGHLIGHT

Sleek Face Contour Kit in ‘Medium’ &
In2it Facial Highlighters in ‘Warm Glow’

Sleek Face Contour Kit in ‘Medium’ – Whenever I buy a contouring powder, despite how I like them, I always go back to this. This for me, is my perfect shade for contouring when I want that soft yet contoured look. I really like it because it doesn’t make my face look muddy or orange. It’s also very pigmented and a little of it goes a long way. I feel like I’ve been using it for a really long time and I haven’t hit pan yet! I also love the highlighter in this compact. It gives you a subtle that is just beautiful especially when the light hits your face. I love the radiant look it gives me.
PROS: Really pigmented & rich color payoff; Doesn’t make me look orange or muddy; Gives me a nice, subtle contour; Highlighter is gorgeous; Multi-purpose product; Contains a lot of product;
CONS: Not widely available;

In2it Facial Highlighters in ‘Warm Glow’ – I really like this highlighter. This highlighter contains four shades, that can also be used as an eyeshadow if desired (but I haven’t tried that yet). It’s really pigmented and it also has a rich color payoff. It gives a beautiful highlighted effect onto my skin and it’s not that expensive.
PROS: Gives a beautiful subtle glow; Can work as an eyeshadow too; Comes with four shades; Can be used individually or altogether; Affordable; Available locally
CONS: Does not come with a mirror;

Not Another Makeup Haul! – January 15 Haul

So those are all of my favorite blushes for the year 2013. You might notice that some of them are bought last 2012, it’s because I’ve just been using the same blushes over and over again. Of course I have other favorites (which is why they were mentioned in my monthly favorites post) but only these blushes really made a statement this 2013.

I hope you enjoyed this entry, and stay tuned for the 2013 Faves: Eye Makeup post. Btw, do you still want a December favorites post? I just think it’ll be too redundant. I might just combine it with my January favorites. But the reason I’m asking is because there are some products that I might not include in my 2013 Faves just because I recently purchased them. I just don’t feel right calling them my 2013 fave if I only used for only less than a month. Makes sense? ‘Eh.

Anyway, see you on the next post!
