#thriftythursday : how to speed thrift

Thrift stores are pretty vast and overwhelming which is why I clear my whole afternoon when I go thrifting. It's intense. So intense. But if you're like most people and you don't have four hours to sacrifice sifting, searching, and sweating (it's hard work!) here's what you can do to speed up the process:

1. Make a list before you go List out anything you feel that your closet is lacking. Be it something more vague like "more prints" or more specific like "purple button up", having a list will help you focus on what you're there for. Just remember you won't find everything on that list so don't get hung up on finding every single thing. Use the list to train your eye.
2. Sift through before you try on Once you've found the items, look through what you have and put away everything that makes you go "hmm". If you had time, I'd say try it on anyway! But since we're speed thrifting set aside anything questionable.
3. Try on multiple items at a time Try on a dress, and pants, and cardigan ....at the same time! I have a habit of trying on one piece at a time but we're in a hurry so throw on as much as you can.
And that's it! In less than an hour you should leave your thrift store with amazing new clothes and enough hours left in your day to binge on a series you found on Netflix.
Question: Do you guys have any tips to share?
