Welcome to Kindergarten Explorers!
We started off the week with our Kindergarten Orientation. What a fun time! We created binoculars (lookers, from the book), Explorer hats, played on the playground and enjoyed a great lunch. We even had time to sing some songs and learn our new friends' names. Thank you all for coming and making this time so very special!
Our first full day was Thursday. What a big day! Our Explorers were so courageous as they explored their new school, made new friends, met their teachers and navigated their way through the day. In our Closing Circle that day, I think we were all surprised at everything we learned in just one day!
Our evening picnic was a wonderful time! It was such fun to see so many of you that were able to join us. CIS is really one big family and the picnic was a great representation of this.
Friday came and we already felt like old friends. The children came remembering so much and even got to experience their very first fire drill. Basketball Jones came for a visit too. What a cool experience! He did many tricks, and got us involved too! He shared a powerful message about being caring, always trying your best, never giving up and taking chances. We had a blast!
