My ideal bookshelf
I stumbled upon this book at the library while (quickly) browsing the shelves. As any book lover would, I have fallen in love with this book.
Growing up I was always a reader. I was that child who was grounded from reading until I got my homework done (and just in case you’re wondering, because I was grounded from reading, didn’t include being grounded from reading the words of my textbooks . . .) I couldn’t tell you the first book that I read which made me want to become an author—I think that desire has always been inside me. I can tell you books that I’ve enjoyed over the years and have read a few times over. Some books on my ideal bookshelf, I didn’t read until much later in life. Some I “cut my teeth on”. All on my list for one reason or another, these are the books that would be on my ideal bookshelf as it now stands. Ask me in a few years and I’m sure this list would change.
