Mom came home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. It felt really good to have her back here even though it would not be for long. Shortly after she arrived one of the hospice nurses stopped over to bring all of the meds she would need and instructed me about my duties.
As we were talking, Mom's breathing became a bit labored. We administered comfort measures and she relaxed a bit. The trip from the hospital in the ambulance back home must have been a bit disturbing for her. Later in the evening the labored breathing began again and this time I became alarmed. The last thing I wanted was for her to suffer. The nurse checked on her and told me it may not be much longer.
