A Busy Weekend

This weekend I was go-go-go for the most part. I feel like I didn't spend much time at home, which is fun at times, but it also makes the weekend fly by and before I know it, it's Monday morning and I'm back at work. Boo.

FRIDAY
After Nate and I watched Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, we went to pick up Wing Stop for dinner. Most Friday nights, I don't feel like cooking so it's usually the night we either go out to eat or get take out. No complaints here! My sister called and said she was gonna come by, soI told her we had just picked up dinner. When she walked into my place I saw a Wing Stop bag and said, "We could've picked you up something!" and she said it sounded so good when I mentioned it that she went too and showed up with it to have dinner with us, haha. Once she got to our place, we all just watched Netflix until we were falling asleep on the couch. So Friday night was nice. No stress, just relaxing and cuddling with this sweet thing.

SATURDAY
Woke up too early for a Saturday because I had a dentist appointment. My sister did too (we go to the same dentist) 30 minutes after mine, so we rode together. I had my permanent crown placed and the dental assistant that was with me, I could tell was fairly new and still learning. And that's fine. I'm all about being someone's guinea pig.. everyone has to learn some way or another. But when it got to the point where she had ME holding the suction in my own mouth, I thought it was a little absurd. Especially when I obviously wasn't placing it correctly and water and spit came spilling out of my mouth and down the front of my shirt.

After the dentist, I met up with Stephanie and we learned what we need to do to make Miles of Smiles a legal non-profit!!! It was very exciting to be so close to taking the next big step.

Afterwards, I met back up with my sister again and we went to see our friend Danielle. She has a 7 month old little boy, Miles who is just a doll. He's seriously the happiest baby on the planet. Constantly smiling and giggling, I just love him to pieces!
So we hung out together, went and did a little bit of thrifting, grabbed ice cream and enjoyed girl time and baby Miles.

SUNDAY
This day began by having breakfast with my BFF Jill and her sister. Which I got no pictures of. I guess we were too busy stuffing our faces and catching up. ;) We were going to go to the movies afterwards, but there wasn't really anything out that I wanted to see. They both wanted to see Hunger Games 2 pretty bad, but I haven't seen the first. So I said that I needed to go home and get some stuff done around the house, so they could head to the movies without me.

I went home and Nate and I CLEANED the apartment. Top to bottom. I always enjoy the final product SO much after a nice deep clean. I then decided that my "Christmas" box where I keep all my decor and wrapping items is getting too small. So I obviously needed to make a trip to Target, right?

I browsed the Christmas decor section and even though most of it was gone or picked through, they still had a few items left all at 90% off. I got some stocking holders and candy for almost free. Awesome. I also picked up a few picture frames for some pictures I had printed, a new storage bin for my Christmas stuffs, and this fabulous handbag....

I have been eyeing this beauty since I saw it not long after Thanksgiving. I told both my sister and Nate how much I loved it, hoping that I would get it for Christmas. Well, I wasn't so lucky there. BUT, when I went yesterday, it was on clearance for $22! Holla! So, I decided to treat myself. Plus, a cognac purse is a good investment piece, in my opinion.

Headed home, made Chicken Fried Rice for dinner and watched Netflix and read on the couch with Nate until it was time to head to bed.
