Bathrooms with Chandeliers

This weekend I was really inspired by this bathroom – the gorgeous free standing tub, sparkly chandelier and mix of materials creates such a beautiful interior. I was really drawn to it and think it’s absolutely beautiful – it inspires a feeling of glamour but the ladder and flowers in the background create a feeling of country chic design too …

I think what I love most about the bathroom is the use of a chandelier – it gives the room a touch of something special – a hint of femininity and glamour. Lighting is so important in bathrooms – I always recommend using down lighters where possible as they ensure an even spread of light and as it comes from above it won’t create shadows when you’re applying your makeup in the mirror. That said, I think chandeliers help to create mood lighting and romance in a space which is really there for practical reasons.
