52 Weeks of Happy

Julia Child once said, “I think careful cooking is love, don’t you? The loveliest thing you can cook for someone who’s close to you is about as nice a valentine as you can give.”

Ain’t that the truth?

But the icing on the cake, so to speak, when cooking for someone you love is that it can provide happiness for you too.

For a wife who hasn’t been the best at providing home cooked meals for a while now, I proved this theory correct just about everyday this past week. And what a crazy, busy week it was.

But taking the time to make Kevin lunch before he left for work and pausing my workday a bit to cook us dinner before he came home really did make me feel happier.

It was like the weight of everything I’d been dealing with suddenly washed away with each meal made.

If you want to feel happier, why not kick cooking for someone you love up a notch with week seven of our 52 weeks of happy by making them breakfast, (or dinner if you like), in bed?

I can’t think of any better way to start or end a day!

Thanks for stopping by!
