I can’t believe it’s already October. Another year has flown by in the blink of an eye. It’s crazy! Time to start getting ready for the holidays, right?
Yep! So at this time of year my thoughts turn towards gifts, what I can get for people, what I can make for people and of course…I NEED to get going on something for our holiday cards before it turns into another year where it’s the middle of December and I don’t have anything.
I’m not going to let that happen again this year!
If you’re looking for some cute mugs, note cards, stamps, etc., check out Allie Ruth’s shop over on Etsy. Now, I know you can make mugs like these fairly easy. But, I sometimes think…why not help a small business out, right?

I never really gave green too much thought as a color for inside, but I have to say I’m really lovin’ the idea.

Upon reading this post on A Cup of Jo, I thought the comments would be more divided for and against such a “non-event” engagement. But everyone who commented was in support of the very pragmatic way this couple got engaged. Personally, I love the idea of completely talking things through as a couple before getting engaged, but the romantic in me thinks I’d still like some kind of special proposal.
What do you think?

This Berlin family run Etsy shop carries some really stylish stuff. Personally I’m coveting one of their scarves!
