Things to do in London: Broadway Market

More Burgers…

I spent last weekend with my mum, and knowing how much she loves markets (and food!) I thought I’d take her along to Broadway Market – it went down a treat!

I’ve only been a few times before, always with my friends Mariell and Jostein, but each time discovering something new. Here you’ll find the best kinds of street food, produce, fresh flowers, vintage and independent shops and cafes.

Deciding what to eat has to be the hardest part. I went straight to the smaller but bustling Netil Market just around the corner as that’s where you’ll find the Lucky Chip burger van. They have a Jesse Pinkman burger special right now (peanut butter, jam, chilli, cheese…!) but despite my love for Breaking Bad I thought I’d play it safe with a cheeseburger, which you can see me thoroughly enjoying above!

Now, deciding on dessert is your second hardest decision. I’m always bowled over by the colour and creativity at the Meringue Girls stand, but I’m more of a cake kinda gal, so Violet did the job just nicely!

You’ll find Broadway Market open from 9-5 on Saturdays. Nearest stations: Bethnal Green, Haggerston, London Fields
