Fringing

Regent’s Canal

Oh man, this weather has been good. I apologise for any overseas readers, us British like to talk about the weather at every opportunity! Myself and Reem spent yesterday afternoon enjoying the sunset as we strolled along Regent’s Canal after a long day – if you’re in London on a sunny day, I urge you to do the same. Aside from the dinging bikes and joggers, it couldn’t be more peaceful.

One thing I’m not so at peace with right now is my bloomin’ fringe. Why did I decide that the middle of summer was a good time to cut in a full fringe? It takes no time at all to turn into a total mess – fringey ladies, you know where I’m coming from here! Too many bad hair days for my liking.

One bit of fringing I’m having no trouble at all with is this flowery kimono! I’m not one wear anything that shows too much skin, and my playsuit was a bit of an offender in that department (oh hi there cleavage), so this floaty cover-up was my saviour and meant I could give wearing something a little different a go without feeling too self conscious.

My whole look was from new Spanish website Fashion Pills – it’s a summer clothing haven and the bits I picked out represent that. It also has a vintage section that I’ve been eyeballing…you know I can’t resist a vintage dress!
