Yesterday, Pantone named Marsala – the color, not the chicken dish – as the Color of the Year for 2015, a very high honor in the world of hues. The company describes it as “a naturally robust and earthy wine red.” In real life terms, this shade falls along the spectrum of cranberry, burgundy, wine, plum, reddish-brown, even oxblood.
