Riverside Style

This outfit was from our second day exploring Louisville. In the morning, we got up and headed a little further South to hit the first distillery of our Kentucky Bourbon trail stops. Maker's Mark was SO fun and such a beautiful facility. I honestly don't care too much about alcohol and drink very little, but I still had a blast! We headed to another distillery, but in comparison to Maker's Mark, it was pretty lame and we ended up wrapping our trip through the Bourbon trail fairly early. So we decided to do more shopping and explore the city.

When I spotted this riverside park on a map of Louisville, I got really excited. I wasn't sure how much it would cost to park and I didn't know if it would be ugly because all the grass is dead so we almost didn't go. But Grant headed there anyway and it ended up being free parking and completely beautiful. The perfect day to sunbathe by the water. In comparison to Indianapolis' weather, that weekend was like a full blown heat wave.

I wore my new high-waisted jeans from H&M that weekend and they have since been worn 5 or 6 times. My new favorite jeans and I am extremely picky about high waisted jeans because I think they tend to have the opposite of a slimming effect, but these are perfect for my leg and waist shape. I paired it with my favorite basic white top from Choies and my new cardigan from Dress Venus. LOVE the union jack flags on this sweater. I feel like I'm ready for an adventure on Doctor Who. The Union Jack on clothes reminds me of Rose Tyler now...and she's pretty friggin epic. So yeah.
