"Give priority to people and be available."
As an introvert, getting to know people has always been one of the hardest things for me. I know this may sounds crazy, but when I travel & get out of my comfort zone, I talk to more people & actually get to know them on a deeper level. Maybe, it's the fact that I might never see them again or that we are speaking different languages OR maybe it's the fact that sometimes I don't even have to speak a word for a conversation to take place, something as simple as a smile & you know the person's whole story. I will never forget the smiles I have exchanged with complete strangers on the dirt streets in a foreign land. When you step out of your comfort zone you are changed instantly, whether you want that change to happen or not. Some people may call me crazy, but I don't feel at home in the United States anymore. Actually, I never felt a connection here. You may be asking what the quote "Give priority to people and be available." means in this whole ramble of mine. To me it's a reminder; to not focus on your self & to look around and see the happiness & brokenness of the people you are sharing the air with.
I wanted to share a few photos from some of my most recent travels. I wish I could sit down with each and everyone of you to tell you the amazing stories behind all of these beautiful people. But, alas I can not. If you want to check out the stories behind the faces & places check out my blog posts Part 1 HERE, Part 2 HERE and Part 3 HERE!
