Scotland Moments: Second day in Drumnadrochit

Our first day exploring Drumnadrochit was spent mostly exploring the Loch and the little town of Drumnadrochit. We went to the infamous Urquhart Castle in the morning and got to walk right up to the water for the first time. It was a pretty incredible experience. It's funny, it rained for about half of our trip, but it really didn't seem to bother me much. Like this first day, we had sunshine for a brief window of time in the morning, and then it disappeared and quickly turned to pretty heavy rain. But the rain really did work wonders for the photos and brought out all the richness in color. I'm not a big rainy day person, but seeing the beauty in a rainy day there made me anxious to get out to and take advantage of it more at home. I'm so obsessed with shooting when the sun is golden yellow, but every climate gives a different look to images. And Scotland pulled off gray, cloudy days quite well.
