From a Dad's Perspective: Weekends with my Princess
I'm new at this blogging thing so bear with me. Nicole has been asking me for a while now to get involved with Me the Moon and of course like most guys, I procrastinated, but nonetheless I'm here now and am excited to contribute some insight from a Dad's perspective on the everyday life of being a parent to a toddler.
I guess I should begin with introducing myself a little. As most of you may know my name is Kevin (otherwise known as "K") and I'm the reason for us being stuck here in Florida away from our roots due to being stationed here. I've been in the Air Force for almost 8 years and it most certainly has been quite the little journey. I really enjoy spending time with my girls, taking my dogs to the park, working out, and pretty much anything that involves Notre Dame Football. But that's enough about me.
I leave for work around 5:45 in the morning and I usually don't get home till almost 4:00 in the afternoon. This really doesn't leave me much time with my little nugget, so I really relish my time with her on the weekends (not to mention that it gives Momma a break and time to reset her batteries). Here is, in a few photos, the average Saturday morning with Nugget and Daddy K.
The morning starts with a trip to the dog park. The dogs literally know when it's Saturday and are extremely anxious for Kenley and I to get up and about. (which by the way is usually 7am)
Next comes a trip to the food court at the BX where Daddy gets his black Dunkin Donuts medium coffee and we share a bagel with cream cheese. Nugget likes to people watch just as much as her parents do :)
Playtime can get kind of tiresome. Not unusual to take a Shrek break and eat some snacks.
(Nugget is ALWAYS hungry)
Right before Lunch time usually comes another Shrek break haha. She loves her doggies. (Daddy's favorite PJ's)
