Best Dressed At The 2014 Emmy Awards

While our favourite shows may have missed out on the awards last night (we’re big Game of Thrones fans in this office), we were at least comforted by the amount of fab frocks taking to the red carpet at the 2014 Emmy Awards – so good, in fact, we’ve rounded up the best 12 looks to help you beat those post-bank holiday blues.

Going vampy in a luscious red lace cut-out gown from Givenchy, Claire Danes amped up her sleek image with a studded belt and statement necklace, choosing to scrape back her blonde locks and work a matching red lip, as Kerry Washington brightened up the night in a zesty side split embellished Prada gown and an amazingly voluminous ‘do.

Wearing designer Zuhair Murad to very different ends, Camila Alves and Taylor Schilling both donned nude embellished gowns, with the former choosing a semi sheer patterned number with a luxe fishtail hem, and the latter opting for old school Hollywood glamour with her classic halterneck frock.

But stealing the limelight as only she knows how, Gwen Stefani made a much welcomed return to the red carpet last night, working her signature quirky style in a sequined Versace top and skirt combination, complete with metallic cut outs, while her platinum hair was styled sleek and super straight for a sharp finish.
