See The Full Collection: Burberry Prorsum SS15
With the focus firmly on the denim jacket for spring/summer 2015, Christopher Bailey re-imagined the wardrobe classic for Burberry Prorsum in soft suede, spongy scuba and lambswool, giving them sharp patent collars, cuffs and pockets, or sprouting airy white ostrich feathers. They were belted with swathes of tulle (a style effect that reoccurred throughout the collection) and worn over layered and bandaged tulle dresses and pencil skirts featuring giant pailettes, while house’s iconic trenches were updated with hand painted butterflies and bees, and decorated with slogans like ‘flower’ and ‘insects’ for artistic flair. Most notable this season, though, was the collection’s youthfulness – if you didn’t find it in the denim jackets, you can’t miss it in the sporty trainers that accompanied every look.
