Stella Jean‘s weighty silhouettes that jut out with exaggerated structure are still around for SS15 (boxy skirts, dress coats, full skirts: check), but she’s offering up new shapes, too: floaty maxi skirts and dresses, loose cropped pants, and slouchy baseball tees that all offer a more bohemian attitude. Prints were as vibrant as ever, and switched between African tribal patterns, painterly sketches of the continent’s scenery and animals (sometimes embroidered or decorated with embellishment), graphic shapes, and signature stripes and checks – all styled with her signature witty, off-kilter flair.
