Fields of purple

Sometimes, being a Zone 6-er, I forget how close I really am to the beautiful Kent countryside and more often only realise how close I am when I remember I'm only a couple of stops away from a land far from the Oyster card- gasp, I know. So where better to spend a morning that galavanting around fields of lavender (Dear Hayfever, I am sorry- but look how pretty) and pretending to be local country hikers- only with printed kimonos and inappropriate sandals, right? One thing that was totally appropriate for a morning in the grass were these Dorothy Perkins jeggings (one thing I never thought I'd have in my wardrobe) but a surprisingly comfortable sneaky jean alternative, which I'm pretty sure are already longing for more appearances. On top of that, we made a quick pit stop for some homemade lavender scones (trust me, they're delicious) and the jeggings were even comfortable after indulging in a couple of them too- which means I am truly sold.
