Greenwich is certainly somewhere that holds a special place in my heart, and somewhere that I certainly don't spend enough time at. Growing up not far from there, my teens were scattered with trips to the Royal Observatory, Marks and Spencer picnics in the park (and impromptu photoshoots in the foot tunnel in my very cool yellow jeans) and hours spent wandering the market and indulging in noodles and ice cream (all shaping the healthy human I am today, ahem). It's also somewhere I love visiting with my family, and cherish many a fond memory of pub and breakfast visits to this wonderful emporium of history- soppy, but true.

Anyway- a couple of weeks ago Joe and I decided to make a little DLR trip to this part of town, and spend the afternoon guzzling down sandwiches from Jamie's and exploring the National Maritime Museum, before waltzing through the market and embarking on a long walk across the heath. It really is the perfect place to while away an afternoon, and indefinitely the place to scrub up on any naval history too (and of, course dress for the occasion)!
