Pinteresting vol.XXI

Does everyone have access to Pinterest’s newest feature: Explore Interests? I’ve had a play around with it and I’ve found some good pins through it but I don’t think it’s “finished product” yet. For example, for me it has created several different Halloween inspired Interest-groups allthough I personally have only one Halloween-board and at the same time it doesn’t offer a single fashion related group. Oh well, I guess it’s still a working process.

Anyhoo…This week I found pinteresting…

This deconstructed blouse by Comme des Garçons (ca.1983) is just amazing and it’s the latest addition to my Structural Inspiration-board. And speaking of structures…I’m on a hunt for a fitting dummy. I’ve only found the crappy adjustable ones in Finland and the closest retailer for the dummy similar in the picture, seems to be in New York. The price for the dummy itself isn’t too bad, 400 dollars but when you add the shipping and VAT, the price doubles. I’ve tweeted twice about this but still no offers

From the Beautiful People-board…This vintage image of Christina Ricci is wonderful. I’ve been a fan of hers ever since of Addams Family and I was gutted when Pan Am got cancelled. Is she on any TV-series right now?

I couldnt’ find the original source for this image but it’s on my Pompoms and Polkadots-board. I love the juxtaposition of the polka dots. You usually see this done with tartan, plaid and stripes and I think this is because polka dots are seen as girly and even possibly as a “weak” pattern, not really fashionable and exciting. Hmph. Allthough, there IS a risk of creating something only a clown would wear…

Speaking of dots…This dog is too cute. I’m dying! The other week I heard the expression “cute aggression” and that’s exactly how I feel right now. I wish I could squeeze this dog so HARD!

Last but not least…I usually post a cute doggy picture (but I already did that) or an inspirational quote but I felt this poem needed sharing. Anyone of you, who has siblings, can understand the passion the boy felt, when he wrote this poem. The poem that says it all.
