MDS- Currently, what is your favorite what is your favorite Color?

JC- Blue, any blue, but more than anything the different shades of blue of the Bahamian sea and of the Bahamian sky, at any time of the day.

MDS- What is your favorite Flower?

JC- Peonies, as in these two latest collages for which I used as central elements, original prints from the early 18th Century by German Naturalist and Artist Johann Weinmann.

MDS- What is your favorite Book?

JC- Leon Tolstoy’s “ War and Peace “

MDS- What is your favorite Restaurant?

JC- Wilton’s on Jermyn Street, London

MDS- What is your favorite Accessory?

JC- A basket full of antique coins bought while travelling. Each one reminding of a happy moment spent with my wife Jackie. I keep them in a basket on my worktable and use them for keeping in place the elements of collages in the making.

JC- To give and give again, my grandfather’s book “ Legendary Parties – 1922–1972 “

JC- Raphaël and his portrait of Balthazar Castiglione at the Louvre.

MDS- What is your favorite Indulgence?

JC- The second Dry Martini…

MDS- What is your favorite Store?

JC- Belgian Shoes on 55th Street, New York

MDS- What is your favorite Vacation spot?

JC- Having travelled around the world, I have now become an armchair traveller, taking faraway trips while in my Lyford Cay studio overlooking the bay, revisiting Greece and Italy on my own personal “ Grand Tour “.
