Ray Lewis To Be Honored With a Lifetime of Inspiration Award

In case you didn’t know I am a Baltimore native and I am uber proud especially since the Ravens have made their way to the AFC championship and are now N’awlins bound for Super Bowl 47.

Ray Lewis who has been with the Ravens since the inception of the team has decided to hang his jersey up after what I HOPE will be a win for the team come Sunday. Baltimoreans have grown to love Lewis because of his giving nature and his spiritual connection is always evident- known most recently for sporting a shirt with the simple Psalm 91 emblazoned on the front, he wears his faith proudly.

Lewis will be honored with Lifetime of Inspiration Award at the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration concert on February 1, 2013 at 7:30 PM, at the University of New Orleans: Lake Front Arena. The celebration will be hosted by Kirk Franklin and Sherri Shepherd, with an All-Star Line-up of Performances By Fantasia, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Winans and Bishop Paul Morton.

Congrats Ray on an illustrious career and thanks for being this hometown girls favorite.
