Decorating With Wine Crates

As someone who loves interior design, decorating and styling, I am always intrigued by new projects in my tiny apartment (or elsewhere for that matter). One of those interesting and challenging styling projects I always wanted to try at home is styling with wine crates - like HERE. When a young German label named Weinkisten24.de approached me and asked if I could style up some of their wine crates, I was hooked: The challenge was set!

Urban Jungle Style:

I received a big parcel with two wine crates, a new one and a vintage one, a fruit box and a tiny palette box. And I did what I always do - no long pondering and planning, I just piled them up to a sort of shelving unit and ran around my apartment collecting bits and pieces to style the crates. The result? Three easy-going and super quick styling varieties. But I let the pictures speak for themselves.

Vintage Style:

Have you ever used crates for a styling or DIY projects at home? I am not a real DIY talent, otherwise I guess I would have come up with more creative ideas like making a coffee table or another form of shelving unit. Yet I think crates are super fun just the way they are, piled up and voilà, you have a simple and quick DIY shelving unit that is waiting for your personal styling.

Relaxed Weekend Style:

If you like to try it yourself but have no clue where to find adequate crates, have a look at the webshop of the Berlin based team of Weinkisten24.de - they sell all kinds of crates, new ones and vintage ones, they also sell furniture made of crates and palettes.

Happy styling!
