What I Wore: Layering It On with The Long Cardigan from Smart Set!

Exciting news! I’m pleased to announce that I have joined the Smart Set blogger campaign that will be taking place over the next few months. Not only have I fallen in love all over again with one of Canada’s go-to brands for “smart” womenswear (trust me, the pieces are updated, modern and super cute) but I’m ecstatic to have Ania B, Gum Boot Glam, Northern Style Exposure, The Brunette Salad, The Fashion Medley, The Skinny Blonde Girl, The Style Mogul, Dentelle Et Fleurs, and The Booklet alongside me. In this ongoing monthly campaign the 10 of us will come together to show you 10 different ways to wear one great Smart Set piece. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?

This month, we’ve all styled the long cardigan! The long cardigan is an update on the classic style that has become a new staple of the modern wardrobe. I love that it has more of a laid-back look that can take you from keeping cosy at home to striking a pose in your best street style look.

For my look I decided to layer my heather grey long cardigan over two pieces from Smart Set that I’m totally obsessed with: The Ruffled Hem Shirt and Jogger Pant. I’ll be honest, it’s been hard to get me out of these pieces since I picked them up in store, and have worn both separately in a number of different combinations. I love that the long cardigan, when layered on top, adds a great casual appeal to the overall look that’s perfect for a weekend shopping trip or brunch!
