HAPPY NEW YEAR // MERRY CHRISTMAS // HAPPY HOLIDAYS

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Here's the song that inspired this post, "Sleepwalking" by Chain Gang of 1974.

I feel like a lot of people make New Year's resolutions, but I'm never really honestly sure what to make mine. To eat more vegetables and be healthier? To be a nicer person and less angry? To appreciate things before you're already at the finish line and it's too late? I don't think I could ever pick just one. Because really, we're all works of art in the making, and we're far from our final brushstroke. There's so many things to work on, for all of us, and I don't want to rope myself into thinking I should just focus on one thing. I think I'm just going to take things as they come.

On New Years day I had a strange dream. I'm not sure what it meant, or if it meant anything at all. But I was surrounded by all my friends and family, and I guess the world was coming to an end, and for some reason everyone had to jump through portals to escape to another world. (lol). In the end, there wasn't enough energy for everyone to pass through, so me and my boyfriend Josh stayed behind because he was injured. We sat out in the yard of my childhood home with one of my cats, Saber, and waited for it to all end. We heard a low but loud rumble, and all the earth started falling away into nothing. For one short moment, there was nothing, and everything was one and the same, everything was pure and white. Then everything snapped back to normality--just the same as it had always been. And all across the earth, everyone who had been left behind heard a voice that said:

"Every ending is a beginning."
