hello, home: guest bathroom makeover

Here are the before photos... things were really dark in there, the wallpaper was peeling, and the shower door didn't even open. The yellow floral wallpaper combined with the wood trim was not very appealing. Plus the gold fixtures just topped it off. Since we couldn't afford a full bathroom makeover or even to replace the fixtures, I had to get creative! :) I came up with this inspiration board a few weeks ago with the idea of making a bold statement by going black in the bathroom. I thought the black would make the gold fixtures look more chic and the pops of color would add a fun element to the bathroom. I like bathrooms that are fun! :)

I would still like to make a faux roman shade for the window as well as update the shower curtain by raising it to the ceiling and sewing on a colorful trim to the bottom. I was a little nervous about going black, but now I'm thinking about painting a wall in the dining room black... it's so bold and fun! What do you think?
