What’s on the nails #1?

Today is the first in a new series of nail polish posts. I recently had acrylics put on after surrendering to the inevitable prospect of short nails. I’ve never been a nail bitter ever, I’ve always wanted long nails ever since a teen. I’ve tried numerous brands and numerous nail strengthening treatments and yes they worked but sadly not long term. So after much debate I gave in and had a full set of acrylics put on just in time for the New Year. I wanted them to stand out, so opted for blue glitter tips and to say I was thrilled was an understatement. They’ve lasted very well and they haven’t annoyed me as much as I thought, despite not being able to peel off price labels and stickers! I had them tidied up this morning and decided against another glitter tip, I decided to grow them out so I can enjoy my own nail polishes. I have SO many polishes and to be fair having the same colour on for 3 weeks was a little too long for even me! I was itching to get another colour on them. So came home and found myself reaching for this gorgeous griege shade called Quicksand by Headline Colors.
