The Bookshelf: The Dark

Firstly apologies for the break, however the Book Of The Week series is back on track and this week I have a great story book to share. The Dark written by Lemony Snicket and illustrated by Jon Klassen. The story is about a boy called Laszlo who is afraid of the dark, this is the wonderful story of Laszlo’s journey into the darkness and learning to live with the dark without no longer being afraid. The quirky illustrations and matte pages add to the whole reading experience, the use of warm tones and black project a strong message.

Are you afraid of the dark? A great story for little and big folk, I can totally relate to this and really enjoyed reading about Laszlo’s experience.
