Bedside Beauty Banter
I have quite the pre-bedtime routine and let me tell you it’s quick, easy and effective! Some products are recent additions whilst others have always been a firm bedside companion.
The first step I take to sleepy-land is spritzing my pillow with a lavender spray and there’s no surprises here, I reach for Neom Tranquility Room & Pillow Mist (*I have the old packaging but still same product). I also love to use this works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray I just want to add I don’t use both together, I like to swap it around. They both contain the key ingredient LAVENDER, which we all know is well known for it’s calming effect. The second part is a little pampering for the hands and lips. I have been loving the Weleda Citrus Hand and Nail Cream a rich hand cream that also takes care of your nails. The formulation leaves a slight oily residue on the hands making it perfect for massage, by the morning my hands and nails feel hydrated and soothed. Perfecto!
Moving on to the lips! Who else applies lip balm before hitting the sack? I suffer terribly from dry chapped lips even more so this time of year. I have been using the ever popular NUXE Reve de Miel Lip Balm for a while now and love the formulation. This instantly hydrates and softens the lips leaving them smooth and matte if that makes sense? NUXE are celebrating their 20th Anniversary of their best-selling lip product and have released 3 limited edition pots pink/green/yellow. What colour would you pick? I want the green pot!
A new lip balm to make it to the bedside is the Burt’s BeesBeeswax Lip Balm Tin, firstly the price is amazing considering this is 100% natural. The packaging is eye catching and appealing, I love bees anyway but having a little tin and a bee on it is a win win for me. Coconut and Sunflower Oils work hard to soften and condition the lips with the added perk of Peppermint Oil to give the lips a little tingle.
After a little pampering it’s then time for a little reading, I recently bought Pretty Honest written by beauty journalist and broadcaster Sali Hughes. This is one of those books which I know I will come back to time and time again, the only piece of advice I could give you is buy a pack of page tabs so you can keep track of your favourite parts!
We’re almost there, the final step to my bedtime routine is a new one and let me tell you it’s become my most favourite part. Meet the Lavender Eye Mask by Holistic Silk, an award wining product determined to give you a good nights sleep. Who’s in? I know I am! There’s a selection of different colours and patterns to pick from, I snapped mine up from the sale page and that’s purely because I was drawn to the Art Deco pattern. I hope the photo does it justice, a beautiful blend of orange, brown and gold fan shapes.
