slow summertime...

August always a busy month for us: birthdays, last-minute holidays, squeezing every last drop of summer's juice before the leaves start turning. It rained last night, and although the days are warm, there's a definitely change in the air. As I'm writing this I'm thinking, "what? It's only the first of August!" But then I see that it is in fact the 27th, and to be honest I feel like I've been in auto-pilot this whole month.

What have I been doing with my time? Well...there's something exciting that I was a part of that I can't wait to share with you, but I can't drop the news till later next month. But it has to do with my More Milk, Naturally eBook. So I'm doing lots of infrastructure work on that so when I do get to share the big news, I'll have the framework up to support some more traffic.

Oh, and after getting a cable internet deal, we've been watching Battlestar Galactica every night and only have 4 episodes left. So instead of blogging, I've been watching the fate of the human race duke it out with some evolving machines.

Earlier in July we took a trip to Black Butte with my family. It's a gorgeous ranch outside of Bend that is also a little resort. We rode bikes, swam, canoed, and just enjoyed being away together. My sister snapped these pictures of the girls and they're my favorite of the summer!
