Leisure by Ákos MajorIf your eyes and soul seek stillness and depth you should definitely dive into the world of Hungarian landscape photographer Ákos Major. We've been following Ákos' work for a long time, and have featured his ephemeral and melancholic photography before. Ákos' signature are photographs full of silence and space. With his Leisure series Ákos suddenly takes us on a journey to a place were silence and solitude are rare - Sankt Peter-Ording’s beach in Germany. It's the largest mainland beach of the Wadden Sea region, attracting almost a million holidaymakers a year. Ákos often needs months to find the right scene to picture, but this time the spontaneity of summer vacation took over. The colourful silhouettes appearit hisng on the landscapes create a more vibrant holiday mood. This series is a beautiful insight into summer the German way, photographed on Kodak negatives. Ákos was born in Budapest and studied graphic design at Moholy-Nagy University of Arts and Design.
