SEN WYE: SS15

SS15 by SEN WYE Timeless, minimalistic, feminine - these are words that best describe SEN WYE clothes. The brand was launched by two university friends with an ambition to translate the remarkable 90s looks into a modern aesthetic. With a background in production, design, and embellishment gained during studies, Charlotte Macke and Holly Keepfer started to design their dreamy, minimalistic pieces. Their aim is to provide versatile clothes made from high quality fabrics. In the SS15 Collection the designers used a combination of silver metallics and subtle pastels. Effortlessly sexy dresses and classic shillouettes were inspired by the most prominent supermodels of the 90s, such as Kate Moss, Helena Christensen and Christy Turlington. Charlotte and Holly don't stop at searching for pictures of the supermodels from that era, though. „We look into these archives not only as a source of inspiration, we research how the garments were made and incorporate these techniques into our brand. One of our unique selling points are the textures throughout our collections, it’s not a big range but it’s quite a tight range of good quality fabrics. We draw an inspiration from the supermodels and the photographers and artists of that era. There are just too many interesting things to be found in those archives!,” say the designers. Although strongly influenced by a certain time period, the SEN WYE pieces are intended to be timeless as well. The designers want their customers to know that the clothes they buy will last throughout the years, not only because of the unique design, but also the highest quality fabrics.
