SS15 Collection by Nomia Headed by Yara Flinn, Nomia is a minimalist womenswear label that exemplifies the complexity of the modern woman. Sophisticated, minimalist, simple - these are the words that describe the latest collection of Yara Flinn. Without any education in fashion, the designer creates carefully made and well thought out pieces. She draws inspiration mostly from art, sportswear, urban culture and the juxtaposition of masculine and feminine. As she explains, she named her label after the Greek nymph, Nomia, because she didn’t feel comfortable with using her own name. Although the nymph embodies the attractive and powerful woman, Yara’s brand it’s more about ease and fun. „The Nomia girl is confident in the sense that she doesn’t think too much about what she’s wearing but more about expressing herself.
