Oatmeal Honey Shea Butter Lotion // Clean Living


Oatmeal and shea butter are both moisturizing and nutritious to your skin. This is a great lotion to use to get rid of the dry spell after these cold winter months. Enjoy!

ingredients:

1/4 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp almond oil
1/2 cup almond milk
1 tbsp emulsifying wax
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp Shea butter

Begin by soaking the oatmeal in the water for one to two hours. Once soaked, blend to a smooth texture. Next, heat the almond milk and oatmeal together on the stove top. Do not let it boil. In a separate pan, melt together the wax, oil, shea butter, and honey. Once completely melted, stir both mixtures together. Pour back into the blender and blend for three minutes. This will create a thick, consistent texture. Pour it into a sealable container. Once it cools the lotion with thicken even more. Use daily after showering for soft, silky skin!
