MY TOP 3 SUMMER STUNNER SHADES

With the summer months still raging on and no signs of cooler temperatures in the horizon (at least here in LA - where we are currently undergoing a historical drought), I can't stress how important a pair of shades are for protecting your eyes from the harmful effects of UV rays and making the right style statement. Here are my top 3 summer sunglasses - for every budget - this season:

1. Converse by Jack Purcell may be a brand name that is synonymous with shoes, but their line of sunglasses is equally cool. The Tokyo Tortoise from the collection frames my face very well and has studded details to keep it interesting enough without trying too hard. For a pair of sunglasses slightly above $100, this is obviously a no-brainer.

2. Ever since discovering Saint Rita Parlor sunglasses at owner Neil Bardon's DTLA design studio, we've been enamored by the craftsmanship and story behind each piece. The beautiful, acetate frame will have you drooling. Every single pair is created as a part of a limited edition collection - meaning once they're sold out, that's it. It also comes with a custom leather embossed case with a suede interior and paisley eyewear cloth. The 602 (priced at $275) is just one of the many SRP obsessions - you'll see why here.

3. My relationship with Tom Ford sunglasses go way, way back, starting with my first big paycheck shortly after transitioning into a management gig. Since then, Tom Ford has become my go-to brand for all my sunglasses. This is the one investment item I don't think anyone should budge on. The Italian-made components are the sunglasses are gorgeously realized into a one-of-a-kind design that seems to work well on my face. All the time. These Henry Wayfarer Clubmasters are my most recent acquisitions, and I can't rave about them enough. At $395, these are worth every penny.
