Schools Out! Kids Crafts
WOW, there are only a few more days of school and then summer is official! That means, the girls will be looking to me for fun things to do every waking minute of the day! (insert panic button here)
Do you ever feel like that? Sometimes the pressure is really tough but not this year, I’ve put together a list of summer projects that any school age child can handle and the best part is they won’t break the bank! Now, let’s be clear, these projects revolve around sewing, fabric or general arts and crafts in some way shape or form. We are after all, a creative and crafty family!
These projects are perfect for beginners and a great way to introduce them to your favorite past time.
Easy Kids Crafts
- 5 minute scrap birds
- buckle buddy (hand sewing, pictured)
- braided bracelet
- cuff bracelet (no sew)
- easy stitch cards (hand stitching)
- embroidery hoop art (hand stitching, pictured)
- fabric post cards (no sew)
- flower bouquet (machine or hand sewing)
- flower clips (no sew)
- friendship bracelets (no sew, pictured)
- paper pom poms (hand stitching)
- plarn flowers (no sew)
- tie dye tee shirt (no sew)
Slightly more advanced-
- animal love (sewing required)
- personalized towel (iron required but could be a no sew project)
- sweater kitty (sewing required)
