How to Catch a Star by Oliver Jeffers and giveaway
How to Catch a Star was the first book of one of our favourite children’s book authors, Oliver Jeffers and this year Jeffers’ masterpiece celebrates his 10th anniversary.
To celeberate, Jeffers, who has also written The Moose Belongs To Me or The Day The Crayons Quit, and his publisher Harper Collins have brought out a special anniversary edition that you can win a little further down. Before we get to the giveaway however, I would like to tell you a little more about this wonderful book.
What is How To Catch A Star about?
How to Catch a Star tells the story of a little boy who loved stars so much that he wished he had one of his own. One night, while watching the stars, he decides to go on an adventure to catch his very own star, but things are harder than expected and he has to overcome trees that don’t reach the sky and rockets that have run out of petrol. Will he find a star? You will have to read the book yourself, but don’t worry it’s a lovely book that all your family will enjoy.
It’s written in a way that even the youngest readers will understand and the illustrations are colourful and invite to explore and discuss each page.
