SPRING TAKE ON CELINE FW13

ZeroUV sunnies, Brandy Melville crop top, Juli's vintage skirt, Converse, Topshop bag, Christina Nicole necklace, Vidakush bracelets and midi rings, Callixto ring, Casio watch

I have a little journal with just a single photo in it - I like to think that this conveys two prominent facts about me: A) I am a hoarder & have way too many little notebooks (as do most people who like to write, though) and B) I must like that photo very, very much. The photo is a photo from Celine's FW13 collection, and though it's been a while since the collection had first been revealed, I am still every bit as, if not more, in love with it as I was a year ago. There is just something about midi-skirts in neutrals/whites & longline silhouettes that is so refreshing, and frankly, we just don't get enough of that these days. While I'd love to channel some of the winter white vibes that this collection has going on, it is already very warm here in California, thus resulting in my spring take on the collection. It's obviously very modified in order to account for comfort/the amount of walking I do (hi, Converse, my sole saviors).

I'm not sure if I've always been the most pragmatic of people, but I do realize that as I get older, I have been more invested in being more practical when it comes to comfort. This also may be the Californian mentality that I have adapted, but nevertheless, it's pretty evident when it comes to ensembles for me.
Speaking of comfort, this is actually something I wouldn't mind wearing to a festival. While there may be a certain kind of style already heavily linked with festival season/Coachella/the ongoing SXSW, I think repurposing high fashion and bringing it to another sphere makes festival wear so much more interesting. I have some more festival ideas for you all coming soon, but in the meantime, check out Free People's festival wear for some inspo, or dare I say, purchases?

I also am going on a roadtrip starting tomorrow towards NorCal, and am incredibly excited to be hiking, camping, and falling asleep in the backseat of the car (it's the only place I can nap in). I'd love any recommendations - I'll be hitting up Santa Barbara, SLO, Big Sur, San Francisco, and the Bay - so let me know if there are any must-sees. If you want to keep up with my travels, check out my Instagram @highstitchedvoice. As for now, I need to stock up on Trader Joe's snacks. Much Love & Happy Weekend xx!
