New Life

Have you ever had one of those projects that you started for no reason and then fell out of love with it and stashed it into a drawer? I have lots of them, I can admit it. Today’s project got stashed in a drawer for lots of reasons, but it is coming back to life. Someone in my life is pregnant and having a baby girl and I thought this would be an adorable quilt for them. I designed it back in 2012 and I am changing the design slightly, more on that in a future post once I have made a few more blocks.

So here is a sewing confession for you, I love batiks! My great grandparents are from French Polynesia and I swear it is just in my blood. So here is my pink, yellow and purple spinner baby quilt. At least the start of it. The blocks are only 8.5″ by 8.5″ so I have quite a few more to make before it is a decent sized baby quilt.
