Happy Mother’s Day | card
Welcome to the April Pop It Ups Challenge! This months theme was either Mother’s Day or babies. A few weeks back I received Karen Burniston’s new embossing folders in the mail and I immediately knew what I wanted to do with one of them… and since it fit perfectly with a Mother’s Day idea, that’s what I went with. Hope you like it!
I know, I know, nothing is popping up. That’s okay though! Stay with me here – the GREAT thing about Pop It Ups dies is that they come with accessory dies and some also have extra matching accessories dies you can purchase. My point is, these extra dies can be used on there own and are PERFECT on there own.
For the front of my card I used the Butterflies Embossing Folder. I love the embossed look on white, it’s my favorite. I used one of the labels from the Accordion Fancy Label Pop It Ups set to create the opening in the front of the card. The cute little butterfly on the front was created using the Butterfly Pivot Card set.
On the inside, I created a slightly larger label using the Accordion Fancy Label Pop It Ups and topped it off with a butterfly I created using the Butterfly Pivot Card Pop It Ups set.
I made a beautiful card for my mom (Hi Mom! Look away… you see nothing!) and I know she will love it. Not that she wouldn’t love a pop-up card (she always does, she gets a lot of those from me!) but it’s nice sometimes to experiment and play and since Karen designed so many great accessory options with her Pop It Ups, I was able to do that. It was a blast!
