Bill Cunningham Facades

I have always been a fan of Bill Cunningham. I became even more fascinated with his work after watching the documentary, Bill Cunningham New York. When I heard about his exhibit at the New York Historical society, I knew my family and I had to attend.
I was totally shocked by what I saw.
Instead of a retrospective on his New York Times work, the photo series displayed was a take on fashion as compared to different buildings within NYC.
I was blown away.
My mind is failing me, but I don't seem to remember this part of his career being mentioned in the documentary. Bill's creativity never ceases to amaze me. The photographs displayed were utterly stunning - partly for their composition and also for the enviable outfits that were featured.
It was interesting to see a different part of Bill's career. I think it's safe to say that Bill Cunningham is one of the greatest fashion photographers of our time.
