Elevate Blog Conference

Sometimes, I go to California. Sometimes, I go to Elevate. Sometimes, I go to Disneyland. Sometimes, I spend the weekend with my best friends. Sometimes, my car gets stranded in California. Sometimes, I eat ramen for 3 weeks. Sometimes, you gotta live a little.
Sometimes, you make best friends because of blogging.

I loved Elevate. I've attended other blog conferences before, but this one was by far my favorite. I got to spend the weekend with my best friends, and go to Disneyland. That may have swayed my vote a little. But, in all reality, Elevate Blog Conference did exactly what you would expect it to.
Elevate. Inspire. Uplift.
Going to this conference, helped me to have the courage to blog again. It go easy to make excuses not to, I have so much going on, and I really didn't feel like writing so much of my heart down for people to examine. When I write, I write me. It's scary for me to show that to people. I've been hurt, betrayed and scarred.
I was too scared to come back.
But, Elevate helped me to remember why I blogged. It wasn't for followers, or comments, or sponsors or "bloggy fame" it was to share my story.
I've shared my heart, and some of you have shared your heart with me. With me sharing my story, I've been able to meet amazing people. I've been able to be touched by your stories, as you've emailed me and thanked me for my words. I've been able to share my faith which is what keeps me going. I've been able to grow as a person and to find the silver lining in even the worst of circumstances.
So, thank you Elevate for reminding me to share my story. Because I have a voice, and it needs to be heard.
