"Trust Him, and trust His timing..."

Let's talk about something. Anything, really. I just don't want to finish cleaning my room. I started, and really, I'm so close to being done, but it's just so boring. Cleaning my room usually takes me awhile because I get distracted, or I turn on music and do "dancing cleaning". It's a thing.

Have you ever wondered about timing? And why things happen the way that they do? My accident happened when I was making some pretty big decisions in my life. I was about to start the process of getting ready to serve a mission for my church. But, that plan had to be put on hold, because of obvious reasons.

(if you are new here, you can read my story here.)

And, if I hadn't of stayed home, I never would have become best friends with Elise. Being able to have her in my life has blessed me more than I could ever have imagined.

And I never would have started this blog, and I never would of had the opportunity to share my story and my testimony of my Savior with thousands of people.

It's funny. How life turns out. You make all these plans, you try your best, but if you follow the Lord, your life can turn out even better than you ever hoped. Even if at times, you wish it were different, you can have faith in the Lord and trust that everything will be okay. That if you take a leap of faith, if you take a step into the dark, if you follow a prompting, or step out of your comfort zone, the Lord will bless you. Probably not in the way you think he will, but in a much grander way.

I've learned that I need to not only have faith in my Savior, but to trust him. Sometimes, I don't do both. But, more often, I don't trust myself. I don't trust the feelings I have, or the promptings that I get, or I don't trust my own abilities, or my own worth that I am worthy of the blessings I desire. But, the thing is, God loves us more than we can ever imagine. And the more we come to know him, the more we come to trust him. And the more we trust him, the more we can trust in our own divine nature and potential.

Isn't that so grand?! Isn't that an amazing thing. We are children of God. We are loved by our Heavenly Father, and he blesses us, and guides us, and cherishes us. I don't know about you, but that makes me want to go sing from the rooftops.

How blessed we are. If you are having a hard day, just know that you are loved. That your Heavenly Father is aware of you, your needs and your desires. Trust Him, and trust His timing. Things will work out, things will be amazing. Keep going forward.

Hold on.
