Yu Garden. TianZiFang, XinTianDi

Like all good tourists and being the awesome blogger that I am (lol), we managed to squeeze in 3 destinations (and a hotel tour in the morning!) in just one afternoon! C’mon, tell me you’re impressed! Our Shanghai crew is pretty efficient, especially when we all collaborate to formulate one Mandarin sentence to get us from one place to another. LOL Hey, at least we made it right?

First stop, The Yu Garden. We got lost about 5 times inside this huge place because all the temples and rooms pretty much looked the same to the untrained eye, and the throng of people was massive! To get to the actual Yu Garden, we had to pass through a bunch of prayer rooms with Buddah statues, incense, ribbon pledges and other red stuff. I had the perfect opportunity to shoot everything because everyone else was doing the same thing!

Here’s Mike and Jack being- normal. Oh, and Mike is supposed to be a Panda here. lol

Our refuge on the hot and humid day… Starbucks and Dimsum!

Next up, we headed to Tian Zi Fang. This awesome “indie” area is a hub for arts and crafts, awesome bars and exotic restaurants. We probably went around and grabbed a few souvenirs and quick bites before heading out to beat the crowd. There were sooo many people in these small streets, it took me forever to snap a decent photo!

All this walking around has made me extra thankful I wore my Butterfly Twists flats! Aren’t they gorgeous? I wanted to wear wedges and then just change into these for walking, but they looked so nice with my outfit I ended up just wearing them the whole day! If you love Butterfly Twists as much as I do, there is a Windsor Boots Sale ongoing until the 31st of August! Head over to G/F Glorietta 2, G/F Lucky China Mall, G/F Alabang Town Center, 3F Trinoma, 4F The Podium and score all these pretty flats on sale!

We then headed to Xin Tian Di for dinner and I absolutely fell in love with the place! I felt like I was in Europe! Jack, Mike and I had some yummy dimsum at Ye Shanghai restaurant and it was sooo good! Definitely a must to try Xiao Long Bao when in Shanghai!

After walking around all night and yet again getting lost in the city, we all went home and realized that this amazing place is really something special. Another amazing day with the gang, marking this trip among my bestest!
