New In: Beauty Haul

If there’s one thing I love as much as traveling and fashion, it’s taking care of my skin and playing with new beauty tricks and routines. When I travel with my sisters, this becomes increasingly evident as they are such skin care junkies, and I get to learn sooo much from them! The problem is, most of the time, the products they rave about aren’t found in the Philippines and I have no US address to get it shipped to. I’m also so old fashioned that I’ve never tried any of those courier options (I’m afraid of getting taxed by customs, as it’s happened so many times to me!) Enter Luxola. They are a Singaporean based website that curates over 150 beauty brands (and cult favorites at that!!!) and they offer FREE INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY. My package arrived straight to my doorstep about 2 days after I placed my order, and without any fees whatsoever! I went crazy when I checked out their site and found all of the products the YouTube beauty gurus keep talking about! For all my readers, I got an awesome 20% discount code for you guys valid until October 25, 2014. Just type LX-Kryz! Check out my picks below:

1. Sigma Beauty Essential Kit

I’m using this right now, and I loooove it! It feels sooo smooth against my skin and it doesn’t poke it at all, which is good to prevent wrinkles! I feel like the softness of the bristles make it so easy to blend whatever product into your face evenly. Plus, the big black brush holder is my new best friend when I travel. You guys know I jet set a lot and this really helps me pack everything more efficiently! I just put all the brushes in, close it up and drop it into my bag. When I get to the hotel, I open it up and it’s a brush holder right there! So convenient!

2. Supergoop CC Cream

This is actually the second CC cream I’ve ever tried using, and I love it! The first one I tried from Mary Kay was pretty okay, except everyone said I looked tan/red. Since there’s only one shade that supposedly adopts to your skin, I figure it’s not for me. This one however is sooo lightweight, it carries a good amount of sunscreen and it evens out your skintone without making you look like you put anything on. It works like a tinted SPF, or at least I like to think so, and I apply it on days when I don’t want to look too made up. It also works as a great base for foundation on days when you do want more coverage! Basically I love how this feels on my skin- like I’m not wearing anything at all!

3. Brad Biophotonic Ultra Elastin Moisturizer

I’ve never actually heard of this brand before but the all-black packaging made we want to try it. I felt like it’s mystery had to be revealed! Lol I haven’t actually seen results yet as I’ve only used it for a few days, but I read up on it online and it supposedly works like a charm for people who are always traveling and on the go. It has a strong smell, making me only apply it at night before bed. When I wake up, my skin does feel really oily and hydrated, and I’m crossing my fingers that it shows significant results soon! Though I might be too young to use this product, but prevention is better than treatment!

4. Mario Badescu Silver Powder

This product is also new to me, but I do use Mario Badescu’s drying lotion for pimples and it works like a charm. So when I saw this product on the Editor’s Pick page (which I think is so smart to advise those who don’t know much about skin care to discover new products!!!), I had to give it a go. It’s supposed to unclog pores and prevent blackheads which is good for tropical countries like ours. They say the result after one application is remarkable, and I can’t wait to try it!

If you want to try out these products yourself or find more, I really do recommend Luxola. They even have a product description box that they wrote themselves (no copy-paste PR stuff!) and a comment section for people who have tried the product to talk about it! For all my readers, I got an awesome 20% discount code for you guys valid until October 25, 2014. Just type LX-Kryz and you’ve got it! Happy shopping!!!
