What To Wear Up In The Air

Always being on the go has taught me a thing or two about dressing appropriately, especially when it comes to traveling. As much as I love looking chic and wearing high heels, it’s just not practical when you’re journey involves standing for long periods of time, carrying luggages and walking from terminal to terminal. Here are a few of the things I always take note of for dressing up while in transit.

1. When I travel, I make it a point to wear something that will keep me cozy while the airport’s icy air conditioners blow towards me. That means jeans, maxis or anything that will cover me up. It also helps when you sit on those metal chairs that can get so cold against your skin! Plus, since it’s a public place, there’s bound to be germs flying about everywhere. Covering up allows you to lessen your chances of getting sick by lessening your body contact to those bacteria!

2. Scarves are a must too, and I always keep one in my bag to use as a blanket on the plane. I get affected by temperature change so quickly, so this always saves my life!

3. Since there are a lot of people on route with you, I don’t like wearing something flashy to attract attention. Neutrals are my safe bet. They also always look more classy than something bold- so when you look back at your photos in the future, you won’t have to worry about “what was I thinking” moments!

4. Avoid Palazzo Pants. Maxi skirts are fine, as you can pee by pulling them up. With wide leg pants though, there’s no where to go but down, and it usually means touching the gross bathroom floors of airports and airplanes. I’ve been there, and I wouldn’t want to do my mega sumo squat again!

5. Find a purse you can easily sling over your shoulders. Traveling always entails using your hands, and keeping them free for easy access will be very convenient. I recommend sling bags with zipper openings to enable to you access travel documents quickly. Or structured shopper bags so you see everything inside without having to fumble through your other stuff to get it.

Hope these 5 simple tips help you get dressed for your next adventure. Enjoy the last few photos from our Macau trip, including a quick lunch at a hole in the wall resto and a taxi ride to the airport. Enjoy!
